Well I always felt that if only we had more managers in our society
the state of our Nation would be much better. Managers act in the direction of
improving the efficiency of any process thus helping in making better use of
resources. In a country like India where resources are less in comparison to
the huge population what can help the country in meeting the requirements of so
many people is proper management of resources. What we don't need is managers
only in private sector organizations or managers restricted to fewer streams. I
always feel that even administrators & bureaucrats should be taught
management so that the country can be run & administered in a more planned
& orderly manner minimizing losses and improving the prospects of growth.
Today everywhere we talk about sustainability. What does sustainability mean?
Proper management of resources so that resources are not wasted and used in
such a manner that everyone benefits out of it. Today we need more and more companies
coming up creating a Public Private partnership in order to harness the growth
potential of the nation. Thus, Managers do add value to the society & in
future the path for sustainable development will be carved only by efficient
& effective managers.
